Rush is the term used for the period of recruitment of new members for fraternities. Fall recruitment consists of every fraternity accepting new members holding Rush events so potential new members may learn more about fraternity life. Potential new members are free to visit any of the chapters for the four days of events.

Message to Prospective Fraternity Men
As a student at the University, there are a wealth of opportunities with which you may enrich your experience. As you seek your niche at NMSU, we encourage you to consider the IFC fraternity system, beginning with rush in the 2018-2019 academic year. Greek men are everywhere around campus—they are student leaders, athletes, and scholars. The very diversity of our extracurricular and academic involvement is a testament to the comprehensive nature of our system; within IFC fraternities, there is a place for every man at the University. Each of our chapters is unique, and we urge you to explore them all.
IFC fraternity rush is non-binding and is a memorable endeavor in and of itself. The many benefits offered by this event, both tangible and intangible, make it one of the most worthwhile opportunities presented to you during your time here. Having the chance to meet new people, both fellow potential new members and fraternity men, while enjoying social events, dinners and activities, makes fraternity rush a remarkable experience. Fraternities have been a source of leadership, brotherhood, and revelry at NMSU for over 100 years, and we invite you to help build upon their legacy.
